About This Show

A lonely artist sits in his studio; a knock at the door and his teenage daughter, Eve, appears. She has been looking for him for a while. This tentative meeting leads to a realisation for the Artist. Now he can fulfil his Mission. “You want to be the new Michelangelo, right? Well, I’m sorry father but you are definitely barking up the wrong tree this time.” The Sistine Chapel ceiling needs a refurb; an update; a new interpretation. Eve is horrified and highly amused all at the same time. Under God’s Arm questions the process and reception of Art in present day culture. Who is it for? Why is it made and what is the real and monetary cost? And what does “priceless” actually mean? “I think that the value of Art is directly related to the length of the queue. There’s a formula for that somewhere”
