Solem Quartet

The Solem Quartet was founded whilst its members were studying at the Universityof Manchester. It takes its name from the university motto “arduus et solem” – striving towards the sun. Continuing their studies at the Royal Northern College of Music, the quartet has won prizes including the Barbirolli Prize for String Quartets and the Britten Centenary Competition.
