"There are few voices in rock that are quite as distinctive as Chris Cornell's," (Music OMH) the frontman-guitarist of iconic rock band Soundgarden who visits the Hall following the release of his latest solo album, Higher Truth. Cornell worked with prolific producer Brendan O'Brien (AC/DC, Pearl Jam, Mastodon) to "craft a set of sombre acoustic songs...infused with alt-rock dynamics" (Rolling Stone). "To be honest though, with his pipes, he could be singing an ode to baked beans and it'd still sound passable" (Clash). Cornell will perform a career-spanning set, including tracks from his new album Higher Truth'.
