Shades Through a Shade follows Beckett’s character Belacqua from More Pricks than Kicks to his roots in Dante’s Divine Comedy, embarking on a journey that links mystics and philosophers across the ages.The assembly of actors and musicians will traverse the sublime writings of Dante, Melville, Beckett, Hildegard von Bingen, Julian of Norwich, Jean-Luc Nancy, and St. Augustine, celebrating these works through song, word and connection with an original score.
