Following a highly praised London run the brand-new theatre company Wise Children tours its debut performance of the same name to Cambridge Arts Theatre. Adapted from Angela Carter’s renowned novel and boasting incredible reviews, it is a must-see this autumn.
In Brixton, twin sisters and chorus girls Nora and Dora Chance are celebrating their 75th birthday. Over the river in Chelsea, their father and greatest actor of his generation turns 100 on the same day. We look back over their family history in a raucous celebration of show business, forgiveness and hope. Expect showgirls and Shakespeare, sex and scandal, mischief and mistaken identity – and butterflies by the thousand. An extremely imaginative multi art-form performance, Wise Children includes live music, dance, puppetry and singing. Wise Children also has gender and race-blind casting.
