Further casting has been announced for the UK tour of The House on Cold Hill, which has its world premiere in January 2019.

Rita Simons (Roxy Mitchell in EastEnders) will star alongside the previously announced Joe McFadden in the stage play, based on the iconic 2015 novel of the same name by Peter James.

Also appearing will be Charlie Clements (EastEnders) and Persephone Swales-Dawson (Hollyoaks) who makes her professional stage debut in the production.

The House on Cold Hill follows Not Dead Enough, The Perfect Murder and Dead Simple to become the latest of James' works to be adapted on stage. The show opens its tour on 23 January at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford before touring to Nottingham Theatre Royal, Shrewsbury Severn Theatre, Coventry Belgrade Theatre and more until 28 May.

Simons said: "I am really thrilled to be starring in the House on Cold Hill alongside such great actors as Joe,
Charlie, Persephone and the rest the cast. I could not put it down when I first read the script – it's a brilliant and
modern-day supernatural thriller that had me totally gripped and occasionally jumping out of my seat!"

Ian Talbot directs the piece with Shaun McKenna adapting. Further venues are to be announced for June 2019.
