Matthew Bourne's 2012 production of Tchaikovsky's ballet Sleeping Beauty is returning to the UK later this year.

The national tour opens at the Theatre Royal, Plymouth on 17 October 2015 with an eight-week Christmas season at Sadler's Wells from 1 December to 24 January (further tour dates below).

Bourne, who has also directed Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, said: "The unprecedented success of Sleeping Beauty took us all by surprise in 2012 becoming our most popular production."

"For me, it is one of New Adventures' finest achievements and the piece of which I am personally most proud. It also celebrates 20 years of working with my brilliant colleague, [designer] Lez Brotherston, who was rightly nominated for an Olivier Award for his glorious work on this production."
