Five Reasons To See … The Firewatchers

Raising Silver Theatre and The Old Red Lion Theatre present The Firewatchers, a new play by Laura Stevens that explores the lives of two ordinary women working as firewatchers on a factory rooftop in London 1942.

The Firewatchers stars Abigail Thaw and Michelle Tate and plays at The Old Red Lion until 3 December.  We caught up with playwright Laura Stevens and director Katie Lewis, who gave us five reasons why you should see the show…

1)   The Actors
See two very talented actors – Abigail Thaw and Michelle Tate – at work in an intimate two-hander.

2)   New Writing

4)  Support a new all female company
Raising Silver Theatre is committed to providing opportunities for female practitioners and telling stories with a focus on the female experience. Playwright Laura Stevens and director Katie Lewis are joined by the talented creative producer Esther Nissard and designer Jess Wiesner.
