Twenty years after he wrote Five Guys Named Moe – a musical based on the music of Louis Jordan – Clarke Peters is starring in a revival of the show at Underbelly’s Pasture as part of the Edinburgh Fringe.

Although best known as Detective Lester Freamon on TV drama The Wire, he earned a Tony Award nomination for Best Book for writing the and is no stranger to musical theatre audiences.

Peters’ West End credits include Porgy and Bess, Chicago, and Chess, as well as a glittering musical theatre career on Broadway.

9-29 August at 17.15.
