American actress and soprano Sierra Boggess was recently seen in the West End playing Christine Daaé in Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber‘s sequel to Phantom of the Opera.

She now returns to the London stage, reunited with masked co-star Ramin Karimloo, to portray Christine in the 25th anniversary celebrations for Phantom which are staged at the Royal Albert Hall this weekend (1 and 2 October 2011) and will be broadcast to cinemas worldwide.

Boggess made her Broadway debut originating the role of Ariel in the 2007 musical adaptation of Disney’s The Little Mermaid. Since leaving Love Never Dies in March of this year – a role for which she was nominated for both a Whatsonstage.com and Olivier Award – she has also appeared alongside six-time Emmy Award-winner Tyne Daly in the New York revival of Master Class.

Having come to prominence originating the role of Christine in the Las Vegas production of Phantom in 2006, Whatsonstage.com’s Joseph Pike talks to Boggess about returning to the role, and taking part in what looks sure to be spectacular quarter-century celebration at the Royal Albert Hall.
