  • The Cast of Oliver! on Children in Need – For those who missed the recent televised fundraiser, here’s a clip of Jodie Prenger, Gwion Jones et al performing songs from the much-anticipated forthcoming West End production of Oliver!, which begins previews at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane next month. Numbers featured include “Food Glorious Food”, “Consider Yourself” and “I’d Do Anything”.

  • Show Trailer – Alex – This week sees the return of Alex, which enjoyed a critically acclaimed run at the Arts Theatre last year. Adapted from the Daily Telegraph cartoon strip about an insufferable corporate banker and starring Robert Bathurst along with a cast of animated supporting characters, it promises to be the ideal tonic for those credit crunch woes! Catch it at the Leicester Square theatre from 27 November to 11 January 2009 (previews from 25 November).

  • Pam Ann Lands in HammersmithPam Ann, the air hostess alter-ego of Australian comedienne Caroline Reid, touches down in London this week for two performances at the Hammersmith Apollo (27 and 29 November). Here she gets a plug from fellow Aussie Danni Minogue, in what has to count as one of the strangest show trailers of the year so far.

  • Walking With Dinosaurs – Embarking on a national stadium early next year, the BBC’s live show, based on the popular computer-animated documentary series, promises to be one of the most spectacular live events of 2009.

  • Show Trailer – Imagine This – Last week saw the London premiere of new musical Imagine This, set in the Warsaw Ghetto of 1942. This extended trailer gives a flavour of the show, including a rousing rendition of the title song.
