The Lowry is becoming renowned for its innovative and interesting fringe pieces, via its newest venue, the Studio.

This month sees award winning writer, Christine Marshall‘s Three Sheets playing at the small, intimate studio. The play is inspired by a true event that took place between Jean and Evie, two NHS student nurses, and Tommy, a dying miner.

Set in 1984 against the background of miners picketing outside the hospital, Evie and Jean battle with their own issues along with Tommy’s notion that an individual should have choice in the system in which he finds himself at the end of his life. Be prepared to laugh and cry.

Tickets are priced £5 to £7.50 and Three Sheets runs from 23 to 25 July.
