Nearly 100 scouts and guides from Birkenhead are heading to London this weekend (20 February) to perform their 50th Anniversary Gang show at the 450-seat Bloomsbury Theatre. According to the Wirral Globe, the cast range in age from
eight to 83,
while the VIPs present will include the current Scout chief commissioner
for England.
The performance will be the first ever Gang Show (which is similar in format to a variety show) to be showcased in the West End.

Gang Show chairman Brian Hazlehurst said: “We decided we wanted to do something special for our 50th anniversary. There has been a frightening amount of work involved, but it will be absolutely brilliant. Everyone is extremely excited.”
