Production photos have been released for Caryl Churchill’s new play Love and Information, which opened to press on Friday 14 September (previews from 6 September).

Love and Information is Churchill’s first full-length play in six years. A ‘fast-moving kaleidoscope’ featuring 50 scenes and over a hundred characters, it explores the disorientation we experience trying to process the endless data that is constantly pumped out at us in the information age; our thirst for knowledge about the world has resulted in a difficulty to express our emotional intelligence.

Through a fragmented series of vignettes – a structure reflective of the disjointed link between love and information and the chaotic nature of both concepts – Churchill asks questions about privacy, technology, the memory and love.

The 16-strong cast is comprised of is Nikki Amuka-Bird, Linda Bassett, Scarlett Brookes, Amanda Drew, Laura Elphinstone, Susan Engel, John Heffernan, Joshua James, Paul Jesson, Billy Matthews, Justin Salinger, Amit Shah, Rhashan Stone, Josh Williams, Nell Williams and Sarah Woodward.

Directed by James MacDonald, Love and Information runs at the Royal Court until 13 October.
