Radio 4 Provides Festive Theatre Fix???

Should you find yourself yearning for some theatre over the Christmas period but can’t escape the relatives, you can get your fix by listening to the sixth series of Radio 4’s 15-Minute Musical, which airs six new musicals weeknights (6.15 to 6.30 pm) from tonight (24 December) through to New Years Eve. The series, which stars Richie Webb, Dave Lamb and Jess Robinson, takes identifiable public figures and gives them a West End musical make over. Examples this year include The Lying King, “following the journey of young lion cub Cleggba as he meets the wily Scarmeron”, Dr Bruce, “in which Dance Lord Bruce Forsyth tirelessly defends his Saturday teatime TV dominance” and Thoroughly Modern Miliband.
