Potted Panto Offers Free Tickets to Stranded Travellers???

The producers of Potted Panto, the Christmas outing of CBBC presenters Dan and Jeff which crams seven pantomimes into 80 minutes, have today (20 December 2010) announced they will offer free tickets to travellers left stranded in London by the snow. The pair, whose abridgements of the Harry Potter novels (Potted Potter) and piratical yarns (Potted Pirates) have both previously had West End runs at Trafalgar Studios 2 as well as runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, are playing daytime shows at the Vaudeville Theatre, which they share with An Ideal Husband until 9 January 2011. As London’s airports have been thrown into meltdown, weary travellers can claim their free trip to the theatre presenting their travel tickets at the Vaudeville’s box office on the day they wish to see the show.

Performed and co-written by Dan and Jeff, with director Richard Hurst, Potted Panto reduces “the best ingredients of the nation’s favourite festive shows into one neatly gift-wrapped package”, including Cinderella in 3D, “full-scale” versions of Snow White and Sleeping Beauty, the “first-ever Fairy Godchicken”, a princess face-off and two men attempting to play seven dwarves and all other characters between them.
