Hollywood legend Robert De Niro was guest of honour at the Dominion Theatre last night as Queen musical We Will Rock You marked its tenth anniversary in the West End.

De Niro, star of films including Goodfellas, Taxi Driver and Raging Bull, may seem an odd addition to the celebrations but he was in attendance in a professional capacity – his Tribeca company produces the Whatsonstage.com Award-winning show.

Also on show last night were Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor, who led a curtain call rendition of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “The Show Must Go On”, and book-writer Ben Elton. Among the myriad celebrities in attendance were Lenny Henry, Russell Kane, Samantha Fox, Jilly Johnson, Nick Mason, Martin Kemp, Chris Tarrant, Robert Powell and Mike Rutherford.
