Celebrating seven years of fantastic productions and following the success of last year’s production of Guys & Dolls, Manchester’s Palace Theatre will once again open its doors to the city’s youngsters, with another fantastic stage experience – Fame the Musical.
The Palace Theatre’s stage experience is an exciting two-week summer project which gives budding actors, singers, dancers and musicians aged 10 – 21 the chance to experience what it is like to work on a professionally run theatre production. Auditions will be held in April.
With just two weeks to put the show together it is an exciting and exhilarating introduction for newcomers to musical theatre whilst being a challenging and rewarding project for those who may have some previous experience on stage.
Following one group of students from auditions to their graduation ceremony, Fame the Musical takes audiences through the highs, lows, friendships, romances and sheer hard work that is daily life for the star-struck pupils in their quest for success. Not everyone makes it, but the triumphant students perform a spine-tingling finale that will have the audience on their feet want to hear more!
The show is packed with show-stopping musical numbers including “Bring on Tomorrow”, “I Want to Make Magic”, “Hard Work” and of course the unforgettable iconic title number “Fame.”
Don’t miss your chance to be part of this all-singing, all-dancing musical extravaganza on the world-famous Palace Theatre stage! For full information on the 2011 stage experience, and to download an audition application pack, visit the palace website here.
Stage Experience present Fame runs at the Palace Theatre from 1 – 13 August.
