Hollywood legend Al Pacino is apparently in negotiations to bring his acclaimed performance as Shylock in the New York Public Theater’s production of The Merchant Of Venice to the West End next year. According to the Daily Mail, Pacino and the show’s (many) producers are currently in talks with British producers Duncan C Weldon and Paul Elliott over a possible London run, though no further details have yet been disclosed. The production was first seen in Central Park over the summer and is currently running at the Broadhurst Theatre.
