Amongst the major London openings this week are:
ALSO ON WEDNESDAY, Kieran Lynn’s Pushing up Poppies, a dark comedy set in the trenches of the First World War, premieres with a four-night run at Theatre503 in Battersea.
OPENING THURSDAY, 6 January 2011 (previews from 4 January), Graham Greene’s controversial play The Potting Shed, unseen in London since 1971, returns to the Finborough Theatre for an extended run to 29 January. Directed by Svetlana Dimcovic, it runs as part of RediscoveriesUK, a three month season of rediscovered homegrown plays.
OPENING FRIDAY, 7 Janury 2011 (previews from 5 January), TheatreDelicatessen presents an all-female staging of Ibsen’s A Doll’s House, “challenging the perception that women and men are now equal in society”. Directed by Frances Loy (Mercury Fur), it runs until 5 February at the company’s pop up venue in Picton Place.
