In The Powder Room was due to premiere in June with a six-week run and had been billed as a “fascinating look” at the “glamorous life” of the Italian celebrity.
But the box office at the Arts has confirmed that the production is no longer going ahead.
A representative of producer Phil McIntyre Entertainments told Whatsonstage.com that the run has been “rescheduled”, adding: “The producers are currently looking at alternative theatres and a further announcement will be made soon.”
According to press material for In The Powder Room released last month, “the show will provide audiences with a
fascinating look at the glamorous life of Nancy Dell’Olio, as she opens
her heart about intimate details, her near fatal car crash and how she
copes with life in the spotlight.”
Dell’Olio, who rose to prominence following her relationship with England
manager Sven Goran Eriksson, said at the time of the launch she was “very excited” about the project, which she was co-writing and co-producing.
It has been replaced in the Arts Theatre’s June programme by The Golden Voice, a new musical about a fame hungry singer.
