Is Britney Spears Eyeing a West End Awakening???

Pop star Britney Spears is apparently keen to pay a visit to Spring Awakening when she brings her new live the The Circus Starring Britney Spears to the O2 Arena in June. But there’s a catch; according to several online gossip sites Spears will only attend if the Novello theatre, where the hit alt-rock musical is currently enjoying its West End premiere, is closed specially for the singer to watch in private with her entourage.

The show, which premiered Off-Broadway in 2006 and went on to win eight Tony Awards, has already been seen by celebs including Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher and Sarah Jessica Parker. And the Mirror reported yesterday that Spears may have another motivation for attending: “After her Circus tour ends she wants to get stuck into meatier roles … Spring Awakening would be right up her street.”
