Hot Ice Show, the renowned ice skating spectacular enjoyed success this year and it’s back next Summer. The 2010 season saw a record breaking year, with 2011 matching the box office bookings.
Hot Ice Show is well known for showcasing the very best in ice skating with Olympic skaters and professional performers travelling from across the world to take to the ice at the Arena. This year’s production saw a total of 30 performers, with some travelling from as far as Argentina and Australia to take part.
Work has already started on next year’s show with the in house Stageworks Wardrobe Department working on a variety of new costume designs featuring thousands of sequins and feathers.
Commenting on the show, Hot Ice Producer and Director Amanda Thompson said “The Hot Ice Show has become a much loved part of the Blackpool entertainment line up. The show is filled with glamour, glitz and is such fun to watch. The cast and crew did an amazing job this year and the feedback from audiences has been incredible. A big thank you to everyone who came to see the show”.
Next year’s production of the Hot Ice Show is set to be extra special as the Arena celebrates its 75th anniversary. The Arena has been hosting Ice Shows ever since 1936 and is the world’s oldest purpose built ice theatre.
Hot Ice Show opens on 4th July 2012 and runs through until 8th September. Tickets are now on sale now.
