Guys and Dolls Needed to Play at Palace

Following a year’s break in 2009, the Palace Theatre Manchester has announced that it will once again open its doors to the city’s young actors and musicians with another exciting Stage Experience, the production that over 100 young performers will have the chance to be in.

They are looking for young musicians aged between 16 and 21 years old who would relish this rare opportunity to be part of the orchestra at Manchester’s historic Palace Theatre for this year’s Stage Experience production of Guys & Dolls.

They require:
•    Soprano / Alto / Tenor / Baritone Saxophone, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Flute, Oboe, Cor Anglais
     (we are particularly interested to hear from people who can play a combination of these instruments)
•    Trumpet
•    Trombone
•    Horn
•    Violin
•    Cello
•    Double Bass / Bass Guitar
•    Guitar
•    Drums / Percussion

Other requirements:
•    Playing standard: Grade 6+ or equivalent
•    Good sight reading skills

Stage Experience will run from Monday 2nd August – Saturday 14th August 2010.

The band will need to be available for rehearsals from Saturday 8th August and performances take place on 13th, 14th and 15th August.
