Hannah Waddingham, who recently starred in Trevor Nunn‘s award-winning Menier Chocolate Factory revival of A Little Night Music, will perform an “intimate cabaret show” at the Southwark venue for six performances from 16 March 2010.

Waddingham, who performed a late-night evening of cabaret at the Delfont Room in April last year (See News, 9 Apr 2009), will be joined by her big band to perform “everything from swing and show tunes to pop and jazz”. Musical direction is by Chris Walker.

Besides A Little Night Music, for which she was nominated for an Olivier and a Whatsonstage.com Award, her other theatre credits include Spamalot in the West End and on Broadway (for which she was also Olivier Award nominated) as well as Lautrec, The Beautiful Game, and Tonight’s The Night.

Young American songwriter Scott Alan will return to London for a one night only concert of his work as part of the Whatsonstage.com-supported LIVE IN THE DELFONT ROOM series at the Prince of Wales Theatre (See News, 10 Jun 2009).

Taking place at 11pm on 13 March 2010, the show is subtitled ‘Just me, and a piano, and him, and her…’, and will feature Alan alongside “two very special West End stars”. In addition to several acclaimed recordings, the New Yorker’s work includes the musicals Detour and Piece.

Alan’s concert replaces Sister Act star Patina Miller‘s debut performance in the Delfont Room (See News, 11 Sep 2009), which has been postponed until August. For tickets call 0844 482 5111.
