A hard-hitting new play which exposes the ugly truth behind the headlines of the current war in Iraq is to be part of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this Summer, following its British Premiere at Manchester’s Royal Exchange in February 2009.

Palace Of The End – is a series of monologues by award-winning Canadian playwright Judith Thompson -and  runs from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 30 August 2009 at Edinburgh’s Traverse.

The audience view three very different perspectives – including a female American soldier facing court-martial for torture and prisoner abuse, a British former UN Weapons Inspector exposed as a source for the BBC and an Iraqi mother and political leader who suffered the greatest loss imaginable at the hands of Saddam Hussein.

Direction is by The RET’s Greg Hersov and the play stars Kellie Bright, Robert Demeger and Eve Polycarpou.
