The
Edinburgh International Festival (EIF) has launched a new initiative
called IN which will allow festival fans to enjoy unprecedented
access to shows and artists.

Aimed
at ‘culture hounds’ in their 20s and 30s and costing £20 to join,
members of IN will be offered hot tickets to exclusive VIP parties
and behind the scenes events, invites to preview performances, discounts on selected performances, and the chance to ‘brush
shoulders’ with the artists and production staff at the heart of
Festival 2010.

To
celebrate the launch of IN, the Edinburgh International Festival, in
association with arts magazine The Skinny, is holding a party on
23 June 2010 at the city’s Roxy Art House.

Jonathan
Mills
, Festival Director said: “IN is an
INvitation to get under the skin of the Edinburgh International
Festival. We hope that young arts enthusiasts will join IN to get
closer to artists, see behind the scenes, access previews and immerse
themselves in the Festival experience. I very much look forward to
meeting INsiders in August.”

Featuring
world class drama, opera, music, and dance Edinburgh International
Festival 2010 runs from Friday
13 August to Sunday 5 September across
the city in theatres, concert halls and opera houses attracting
audiences from around the world to Scotland’s capital. Festival
