The Oldham Coliseum Theatre’s traditional annual pantomime is back and this winter it’s the turn of Sleeping Beauty.

The annual pantomime is the biggest show on the Coliseum calendar and Sleeping Beauty is no different. This enchanting tale – complete with wicked witches, evil spells, hazardous spinning wheels and generous helpings of pantomime magic – has been on sale since Mother Goose opened in November 2009. Despite last year’s worst winter in decades none of the 79 performances of Mother Goose were cancelled.

The Sleeping Beauty cast includes Sue Devaney who will stepping into the evil shoes of wicked fairy godmother Carrabosse and Fine Time Fontayne will once again be returning to play the dame, having appeared in both Mother Goose (2009) and Aladdin (2008).

Children in the audience also get chance to take to the stage by taking part in the traditional song sheet. So if you have a budding singer amongst you, someone who longs to tread the boards or even someone who just wants to make their theatre trip that little bit more special then visit the Coliseum.

Sleeping Beauty runs at the Oldham Coliseum from 20 November – 8 January.
