Kevin Fearon and his partner Gillian Miller, chief executives of Royal Court Liverpool, love their place of work so much they decided to hold their wedding reception at the theatre venue in Liverpool city centre.

Fearon and Miller married last weekend at the Athenaeum Club in Church Alley within the city, before holding their reception at Royal Court Liverpool where they used the stage for the top table and sat guests within the theatre’s stalls.

Fine food was served from the Liverpool Food Company, while Japanese tribute band The Aspreys and Sweden-based tribute act The Repeatles provided an evening of entertainment playing songs by The Beatles.

Meanwhile, Royal Court Liverpool has announced three songs from Our Day Out – The Musical are being released with all profits from the CD going to Liverpool Unites.

The songs include ‘I’m in Love With Sir’, ‘To The Zoo’ and ‘No One Can Take This Time Away’.

The theatre’s autumn/winter season is in full swing with Willy Russell’s new work hitting the stage next week.

At the end of October, Drew Quayle’s The Salon appears at the theatre, located in Roe Street, for a month-long run.

The theatre’s Christmas production this year is a new play by Fred Lawless called Merry Ding Dong. The comedy runs from 11 December until 23 January 2010.
