Casting: Rosalie Craig to star in Finding Neverland

Rosalie Craig is to play Sylvia in
the world premiere of Finding Neverland at the
Curve Theatre, Leicester. The production, a musical adaptation of the
Oscar-winning 2004 film about the creator of Peter Pan, J M Barrie,
runs from 22 September to 18 October.

As previously announced, Julian
Ovenden
will play Barrie, with Craig as the mother of the Llewelyn
Davies boys, who inspired the author to write his classic stories.
There were rumours that Gwyneth Paltrow was in talks for the role,
which Kate Winslet played in the film, opposite Johnny Depp as
Barrie.

Craig is currently starring as
the Mother in Ragtime at the Regent’s Park Open
Air Theatre. The actor recently appeared in London Road
at the National Theatre and Swallows and Amazons
at the Bristol Old Vic.

Finding Neverland
will be directed by Rob Ashford and produced by Harvey Weinstein
and Victoria Parker. The cast includes Oliver Boot,
Norman Bowman, Clare Foster, Vince Leigh, Stuart
Neal
, and Liz Robertson.
