Celebrating its 20th Year, the highly acclaimed Birmingham Royal Ballet has announced their brand new season to the public.
‘Romeo and Juliet’, first performed at the Hippodrome in 1992, makes a return to the programme with 6 performances only from 29th September- 2nd October; with a sweeping score by Sergei Prokofiev and choreography from Kenneth MacMillan, Romeo and Juliet continues to be the all-time classic love story.
Other highlights of the recently announced season include two productions showcasing a compilation of pieces; ‘Pointes of View’ (22nd-25th September 2010) and ‘Passion and Ecstasy’ (22nd-25th June 2011). ‘La Fille mal gardee’ (2nd-5th March 2011) and ‘Coppelia’ (15th-18th June 2011) complete the works for the current season.
