Harold Pinter himself was on hand for the opening night of Pinter’s People – a showcase of all the short sketches and monologues by the Nobel Prize-winning playwright – at the Theatre Royal Haymarket last night (1 February 2007, See News, 9 Jan 2007).

Pinter’s People includes a never before seen piece, as well as more familiar favourites Night (1969) and The New World Order (1991). The show runs to 25 February 2007.

Pinter was joined by cast members – comedians Bill Bailey (Black Books), Kevin Eldon (Nighty Night), Sally Phillips (Green Wing) and Geraldine McNulty (My Hero) – as well as director Sean Foley (best known for his work with The Right Size) and producer Mick Perrin for a post show reception at Leicester Square’s Number One.
