Howard Davies’ new
revival of Arthur Miller’s All My Sons opened at the West End’s Apollo Theatre last night (27 May 2010, previews from 19 May), with a cast led by David Suchet,Zoe Wanamaker, Stephen Campbell Moore, Jemima Rooper and Daniel Lapaine.

The play centres on Joe Keller (Suchet), who has
sacrificed his honour to maintain his family’s prosperity. His wife
Kate (Wanamaker) has managed to hide her knowledge of Joe’s previous
crimes, but things come to a head when their son Chris (Moore) decides
to marry the former fiancée of his lost brother.

Also opening last night was the West End transfer of Dream of the Dog, which opened at Trafalgar Studios 2 following its critically-acclaimed run at the Finborough Theatre.

The play, by South African Craig Higginson, is set in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, shortly after the millennium,
where elderly white couple Patricia and Richard Wiley are packing up to
leave the farm they’ve sold to developers. But their preparations are
interrupted by the arrival of a young man – ‘Look Smart’ – who used to
be one of the black workers on their estate until he disappeared
fifteen years ago.
