Harvey Fierstein's Kinky Boots opened at the Adelphi Theatre last night, starring Matt Henry as drag queen Lola and Killian Donnelly, recently seen alongside Beverley Knight in Memphis, as Charlie.
Kinky Boots is adapted from the 2006 Brit flick about a drag queen who helps an ailing shoe company design a new line of sturdy fetish footwear.
It features songs by pop star Cyndi Lauper, a book by Harvey Fierstein and direction/choreography by Jerry Mitchell.
