WhatsOnStage has an exclusive first listen to the Young Vic's upcoming musical version of Twelfth Night.

Kwame Kwei-Armah and Shaina Taub have infused Shakespeare's original with music and transplanted the play to Notting Hill.

Here, Gabrielle Brooks sings "Viola's Soliloquy" exclusively released with WhatsOnStage for the first time.

The piece has a jazz-and-R&B score and is co-directed by Kwei-Armah and The Public Theater's Oskar Eustis. The cast includes Melissa Allan, Gerard Carey, Natalie Dew, Martyn Ellis, Gbemisola Ikumelo, Jyuddah Jaymes, Jonathan Livingstone, Paul Willcocks, Silas Wyatt-Barke and Rupert Young.

Twelfth Night has set design by Rob Jones, costume design by Brigitte Reiffenstuel, lighting design by Tim Lutkin, sound design by Richard Brooker, choreography by Lizzi Gee, musical direction by Sean Green and casting by Pippa Ailion.
