2) Bat Out Of Hell

London Coliseum

Following last week's rambunctious launch which took over St Martins Lane, Jim Steinman's musical which inspired the bestselling album of the same name, is proving to be a massively hot ticket.

With a big budget and songs such as "I Would Do Anything For Love", "You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth" and "Two Out of Three Ain't Bad", this should be an absolute crowd pleaser.

3) Don Juan in Soho

Wyndham's Theatre

David Tennant was a theatrical leading man long before he achieved TV fame as Doctor Who, and he returns to the West End in Patrick Marber's dynamic updating of the classic Moliere play Don Juan.

This tale of low life and high wit doesn't open until March 2017 but tickets are already selling like crazy.

4) Lazarus

King's Cross Theatre

Previously a sell out in New York, David Bowie's last work is a visionary, multimedia thrill ride, loosely inspired by the film The Man Who Fell To Earth, and starring Dexter's Michael C Hall.

An unmissable opportunity to re-encounter some classic Bowie tracks breathtakingly reminted, and also to experience London's newest purpose -built theatre.

5) Nice Fish

Harold Pinter Theatre

Multi award-winning Mark Rylance co-authors (with poet Louis Jenkins) as well as stars in this charming, off-beat comedy that has already delighted sell out audiences on the other side of the Atlantic.

Don't miss this quirky winter treat.
