Tom Burke, Harry Melling and Haydn Gwynne at Girl From the North Country opening

Conor McPherson directs and writes the piece which features the songs of Bob Dylan

Stars such as Tom Burke, Bertie Carvel and Haydn Gwynne joined the cast of Girl From the North Country to celebrate the show's West End opening last night.

The show, which is a play featuring songs by Bob Dylan, originally opened at the Old Vic and stars Ciarán Hinds, Shirley Henderson, Sheila Atim and Debbie Kurup.

McPherson wrote and directed the piece, which is set in a guest house in Minnesota and follows the trials and tribulations of people arriving and leaving, with guest house owner Nick Laine, his wife Elizabeth and their adopted daughter Marianne at the centre.
