Casting has been announced for the Royal Court's upcoming new version of Roald Dahl's The Twits.

"Mischievously adapted" by Enda Walsh (Ballyturk) and directed by John Tiffany, the production runs from 7 April to 31 May 2015.

Jason Watkins and Monica Dolan, co-stars of BBC comedy W1A, will play the warring Mr and Mrs Twit.

They're joined by: Sam Cox (Yorkshire Terrier Man), Cait Davis (Monkey Mum), Aimée-Ffion Edwards (Monkey Daughter), Christine Entwisle (Tattooed Fortune Teller Lady), Oliver Llewellyn-Jenkins (Monkey Son), Glyn Pritchard (Monkey Father) and Dwane Walcott (Shy Waltzer Boy).

Hoggett and Tiffany have previously worked together on Let The Right One In, Black Watch and The Bacchae for the National Theatre of Scotland, as well as Once.

The creative team also features Steven Hoggett as associate director and movement director and Martin Lowe as composer and musical supervisor. Design is by Chloe Lamford, lighting by Philip Gladwell and sound by Gregory Clarke.
