Tanya Burr and the cast of Confidence at Southwark Playhouse: first look

Photos have been released offering a first look at the cast of the 20th anniversary production of Judy Upton's Confidence, directed by Boundless Theatre's Rob Drummer.

Premiering at Southwark Playhouse, the piece stars online presence Tanya Burr as Ella, a driven young person in the '90s wheeling and dealing her way through her friends in the seaside town. The piece also stars Lace Akpojaro (The Ladykillers) as Edwin, Anna Crichlow (Pride and Prejudice) as Ruby, Rhys Yates (Lucky Man) as Ben and Will Pattle (Enron, Brit School) as Dean.

The production is expressly tailored towards bringing young people aged between 15 and 25 into the arts, especially those who have never seen a show live before.

Upton is an award-winning playwright and her stage plays include Ashes and Sand which won the George Devine Award and Bruises at Royal Court Theatre.
