Further casting for the UK tour of Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap has been announced.

Susan Penhaligon is to star as Mrs Boyle from 15 July to 16 November in the tour.

The show continues to run in the West End at St Martin's Theatre, whilst also running on the UK tour, which heads to venues including the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry, Lowry in Salford, Liverpool Empire, Southend Palace, Grand Opera House in York, Brighton Theatre Royal and many more.

Penhaligon's previous credits include TV shows Bouquet of Barbed Wire and A Fine Romance and she takes over the role from Gwyneth Strong. The show is directed by Gareth Armstrong and headed out on a tour in January this year.

The full cast of the show includes David Alcock (Mr Paravicini), Geoff Arnold (Detective Sgt Trotter), Nick Biadon (Giles Ralston), Lewis Chandler (Christopher Wren), John Griffiths (Major Metcalf), Harriett Hare (Mollie Ralston) and Saskia Vaigncourt-Strallen (Miss Casewell).

Further venues for the tour will be announced in due course. First seen in Nottingham in 1952 starring Richard Attenborough and his wife Sheila Sim, The Mousetrap went on to become the world's longest running stage production following its West End transfer to The Ambassadors in 1952 and St Martin's in 1973 where it has played ever since. There have been over 27,500 performances in London so far.
