Stephen Sondheim to appear in conversation at the National Theatre

The National Theatre’s award-winning production of ”Follies” is currently running at the venue

Stephen Sondheim will appear in conversation at the National Theatre, it has been announced.

The Olivier Award-winning revival of hit musical Follies, which Sondheim created the book and lyrics for in 1971, is currently playing at the London venue, with direction by Dominic Cooke.

Cooke and Sondheim will appear together at 6.10pm and talk until 6.50pm on Friday 29 March.

The composer and lyricists' other work includes A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Company (about to close in the West End), Sweeney Todd (with a new revival about to open in Liverpool), A Little Night Music, Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods and West Side Story (which is also being revived at Manchester's Royal Exchange).

Ticket prices for the evening range from £12 to £5, and are on sale now.
