The producer was recognised for her services to theatre
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child producer Sonia Friedman has been awarded an OBE in this year's Queen's birthday honours list.
The list, which was announced to mark the Queen's 90th birthday, recognises achievements made by a wide range of people across the UK. Friedman will receive her OBE for services to theatre.
Other people in the list recognised for their work in the industry include Bristol Old Vic artistic director Tom Morris (OBE). Morris took over the running of the theatre in 2009, which recently celebrated its 250th birthday.
Theatre maker Stella Duffy (OBE) was also recognised for services to the arts, Duffy is co-director of Fun Palaces and in a 30 year career has written plays, novels and short stories.
Punchdrunk artistic director Felix Barrett was given an MBE in the list which also included Downton Abbey actress Penelope Wilton who was recommended for a DBE.
Brian Blessed was made an OBE for services to arts and charity. Dame Vera Lynn is recommended for the Companion of Honour at the age of 99.
The number of people who received an award comes to 1,149 with famous names including Janet Street-Porter, Declan Donnelly, Anthony McPartlin and Alan Shearer.
