Sita McIntosh, COO of WhatsOnStage has been appointed to the board of Kiln Theatre (formerly the Tricycle), it has been announced today.

Artistic director Indhu Rubasingham announced the newly renovated theatre's inaugural season today. The new season will feature a revival of Blues in the Night starring Sharon D Clarke and Clive Rowe, the UK premiere of Florian Zeller's The Son and a new musical based on Zadie Smith's White Teeth.

McIntosh who has been at WhatsOnStage since August 2014 and is also Chair of the Board of Trustees at Tonic Theatre, celebrates 30 years working in theatre next month having previously worked at Stoll Moss, See Tickets and Ticketmaster amongst others.

She commented, "I'm thrilled and honoured to have been asked to join the board of Kiln Theatre. I lived locally to the theatre in it's former life as the Tricycle for many years and have lots of special memories, including taking my children there for their first ever taste of live theatre when they were toddlers. It's a unique space that has championed diversity and gender balance for many years, long before they became the general talking points that they are now. It has always appealed to the surrounding local community and been a truly inclusive hub for Kilburn and the neighbouring areas.

"As it moves forward as Kiln Theatre, I cannot wait to work with the rest of the board and the incredible talent that is Indhu Rubasingham on the next stage of the journey."
