Seven reasons why our 2014 Awards Concert will be the best one ever
After a record breaking year, voting for the 2014 WhatsOnStage Awards is closed and our excitement has now turned to the Awards concert on Sunday 23 February.
Take a look below for some of the reasons we are so excited and book your tickets here:
1. Mel & Rufus are hosting again!
Taking time out from baking-off and being a Dirty Rotten Scoundrel, these two are sure to bring the house down.
2. You'll get to see all the winners announced.
So much talent. In.One.Room!
3. Cynthia Erivo is performing.
The phenomenally talented Best Actress in a Musical nominee Cynthia Erivo (The Color Purple, I Can't Sing!) will open the show with a specially staged surprise number.
4. It's at the Prince of Wales Theatre.
If it's good enough for the Book of Mormon, it's good enough for us!
5. The cast of Putting it Together are performing.
The cast of the acclaimed revival of Sondheim revue Putting it Together including David Bedella, Daniel Crossley, Janie Dee, Damian Humbley and Caroline Sheen will be performing a number from the show.
6. There's a Rodgers and Hammerstein tribute!!!
There's a special tribute to our sponsors Rodgers and Hammerstein Theatricals Europe, with a medley of numbers performed by stars including Fra Fee (Candide), Zizi Strallen (Merrily We Roll Along, Chicago) and Lisa Anne Wood (Les Misérables)
7. And a Water Babies exclusive!
Lauren Samuels and Louise Dearman will perform an exclusive number from the hotly-anticipated new musical Water Babies.
And so much more to be announced very soon!
Make sure you don't miss out on all of the above by booking your tickets here before they sell out!
