The upcoming production of Thoroughly Modern Millie at Theatro Technis starring Russell Grant has been postponed to April 2015.

The show, which was due to open in October, is being delayed due to family illness of director Drew Baker.

Grant will play mysterious Mrs Meers alongside Molly Marie Welsh as the titular Millie Dillmount in the Off-West End premiere of the Tony Award-winning musical.

Tickets for the October run are being refunded, and booking will open soon for the new run, from 1 to 25 April 2015. The cast and creatives will remain the same, subject to availability.

The rest of the cast includes Poppy Teirney, Graham Macduff, Scott Royal, Katriona Perrett, Carlos Mapano, and Prem Rai.

Thoroughly Modern Millie will feature costumes from Andrew Cox with musical direction by Matt Ramplin, design by Ben M Rogers and choreography from Matt Wesley and Tom Gribby.

A spokesman for Entourage Productions, which was co-founded by Baker and former Egghead CJ de Mooi, said: "This production has been a long time in the making. Entourage are very excited by Drew’s vision of the show and the cast and team we have assembled. Postponing it will allow us to bring that vision to the stage with the full company we already have in place, subject to their availability."
