Michelle Visage, the RuPaul's Drag Race judge, who is about to make her West End debut in Everybody's Talking About Jamie, has said a RuPaul musical is 'in talks'.

In an interview with Gay Times, Visage said that the musical had been in talks for around six years.

She said: "World of Wonder [the production company behind RuPaul's Drag Race] are great at putting everything on the table, but it's not always up to us to make it happen."

She added: "I'd say you'd just never know, because they've got a TV show about his life coming up, and all these things coming up, so you never know."

Visage is taking on the role of Miss Hedge in Everybody's Talking About Jamie until 26 January. She joins the current cast which includes John McCrea (Jamie), Rebecca McKinnis (Margaret), Shobna Gulati (Ray), Lucie Shorthouse (Pritti Pasha) and Lee Ross (Hugo/Loco Chanel).

The musical first opened at Sheffield Crucible before transferring to the West End in late 2017 and won the WhatsOnStage Award for Best New Musical earlier this year. It has songs by Dan Gillespie Sells with book and lyrics by Tom MacRae.
