The producers of Riverdance are to bring their new dance and music production to the West End.

Heartbeat of Home will open in previews at the Piccadilly Theatre from 4 September and is currently booking until 13 October.

The piece mixes Irish, Latin, Hip-Hop, Afro-Cuban and Contemporary music and dance, and is described as a 'high octane, sexy, dance and music extravaganza'. The show opened at the London Palladium for two performances earlier this year and is produced by Moya Doherty. John McColgan conceived and directed the show which has Brian Byrne as composer, lyrics by Joseph O'Connor and choreography by David Bolger.

There are thirty three world-class dancers and live musicians in the show, heralding from Ireland, USA, Australia, Britain, Canada, Italy, Argentina and Spain.

Also involved in the project is John Carey (Irish dance choreography), Alan Farquharson (set design), David Torpey/Image Now and David Mattias/COSMO (set projection design), Peter Canning (lighting design), Ciarán Byrne (sound design), Monica Ennis and Niamh O'Connor (costumes styling) and Padraic Moyles (associate director).
