Shotgun Carousel, whose previous work include Divine Proportions, will return with a new immersive dining experience at London's Vaults, underneath Waterloo Station.

Entitled Red Palace, the show is set during a Gothic masquerade ball and inspired by the likes of the Brothers Grimm, Edgar Allen Poe and Hans Christian Andersen. The piece will mix up different stories in a big melange, with characters like Snow White and Red Riding interacting with assassins and alchemists.

The show blends circus, cabaret, dance and more, with Masterchef semi-finalist Annie McKenzie also providing a menu for booked diners.

The company's director Celine Lowenthal said: "We are thrilled to have the mighty support of The Vaults and to be given the freedom to create such a multidimensional production, in The Vaults' atmospheric caverns, tunnels and underground halls. We are already plotting and planning how to make Red Palace both a really special, refined piece of theatre, and a joyfully escapist night out."

The show, which will be written by Cressida Peever with design by Maeve Black, runs from 24 September to 12 January 2020.
