Stars of stage and screen (and the House of Commons) attended a glitzy fifth-anniversary gala at the Park Theatre in London this week.

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, the theatre's local MP, helped artistic director Jez Bond get the celebrations underway by cutting the cake at the party held on Tuesday.

Other guests included stagey power couples Imelda Staunton and Jim Carter, and Mark Gatiss and Ian Hallard, as well as Olivier Award-winners Clive Rowe, Simon Callow and Patrick Stewart.

The Park Theatre is based in Finsbury Park and is made up of two theatres, Park90 and Park200. Notable productions since its opening include Oliver Cotton's Daytona, David Hare's The Vertical Hour and Mart Crowley's The Boys in the Band. Currently running at the venue is the UK premiere of Robert Schenkkan's Building the Wall.
