Nigel Lindsay is set to join the West End cast of Guys and Dolls for a limited time from May.

Lindsay, who will take the role of Nathan Detroit, reprises the part more than 10 years on from his performance in the Donmar Warehouse's 2005 West End production. His other theatre credits include Bull (Young Vic), Speed-the-Plow (Playhouse Theatre) and Shrek The Musical.

Lindsay, who takes over from Richard Kind, will join a cast including Samantha Spiro as Miss Adelaide and Oliver Tompsett as Sky Masterson.

Kind will play his final performance of Nathan Detroit on Sunday 22 May 2016, with Lindsay taking over from Thursday 26 May until Sunday 26 June 2016.

Guys and Dolls is Frank Loesser, Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows' musical based on the stories and characters of Damon Runyon. It follows the tales of gangsters in New York and the love story between a gambling man and a Salvation Army woman and features songs such as "Luck Be a Lady" and "Sit Down You're Rockin' The Boat".

Guys and Dolls is currently booking at the Phoenix Theatre until October 2016.
